Akumal
Known as “The Place of the Turtles,” in the Mayan language, Akumal is a stone throw south of the Grand Palladium. Unlike other tourist towns, Akumal is for the traveler looking for quiet beaches, fine white sand, pristine jungle and friendly people without the crowds.
Tulum Archaeological Zone
Twenty minutes south of the resort are the Mayan ruins of Xel-ha, Xcaret, Chichen-Itza and Coba. Take the chance to explore the areas history before the arrival of the Spanish, gaining a glimpse into the life of a lost civilization.
Cozumel
The coast of the Mayan Riviera is home to the 2nd largest reef in the world. Smack dab in the middle of that ecological wonder is the island of Cozumel. If you are looking for excellent diving opportunities, then catch the ferry running across the channel.
Playa Del Carmen
If you’re at home in a crowd, then drop by the booming tourist town of Playa Del Carmen located twenty-five minutes to the north of the resort.
